- Winter Sowing

- 3 Stations
- 1. Preparing milk Jug
- Label jug with seed name
- Use your solder iron to make many holes in the bottom of the jug for drainage and 4 to 8 holes on the sides about a half inch from the bottom.
- Measure up 4 ” on the side and use your solder iron to make 2 elongated holes on either side of the jug handle.
- Place a rubber band around your milk jug to use as a guide to cut a straight line around your jug
- Starting in one elongated hole, carefuly cut just above the rubberband the long way to the 2nd elongated hole. Leave the handle attached to make a hinge,
- 2. Neatly, fill your container with potting soil. Pat the soil down gently.
- 3. Planting Seeds & Closing
- Very carefully spread your seeds evenly across the top of your soil.
- Check your seed instructions to see if your seed needs covered.
- Close your jug and secure the side opposite your handle with a small peice of tape.
- Wrap a peice of tape carefully all the way around your jug to completely seal the middle
